St Peter's Square n St Peter's Basilica

Vatican City also consist of St Peter's Square and St Peter's Basillica. If you have seen this church, you have seen the "mother of all churches" (though debatable as there are many other churches known for its architecture) ... one thing for sure, wecan marvel at the grandness of it all.....the pillars, the sculptures, the scale....

The inside of St Peter's

We also saw several guards who are called, the Pope's guard....the were standing in upright position "guarding" the church in bright yellow and purple uniform....kinda funny uniform, more like a Jester's :)

Towards the end of our day, we bought some postcards and wrote home (and to ourselves) from the Vatican City post office. Note that although the Vatican City is surrounded by Italy, it is technically not in the country of Italy, but a city-not-owned-by-any-country by itself. Well, that's our souvenior from the Vatican City.
