A couple of things that stood out for me in Siena is the Piazza del Campo, a big square where they have the horse race twice a year, and the big white cathedral which looks like its made out of paper.
Apparently, during the horse race days,Piazza del Campo, which is normally a big open space, will be packed very full with people - and the horse racing will be carried out. The shops / buildlings surrounding the square can make a quick big buck during the season, but renting out their balconies or seats in their balconies, to people who want to have a good view of the horse races, for crazy exsorbetent prices. On a normal day, the Piazza is really nice to just sit around and chill, soaking in the atmosphere and sights. There's also a big very tall clock tower where the square is, and I believe that's one of the famous Siena sights too.
The Siena Cathedral looks like its made out of paper from the outside - all white and square and paper-ish, but the inside is really pretty with awesome decos - a picture tells a thousand words...so here they are.
Chianti
The bus drove through the hills of Chianti, and we also made a stopover in a little winery for some wine tasting pretty similar to wine tasting in the Yarra Valley of Victori0.
