Gordon Ramsay Petrus Restaurant
It's been a while since our last post (sorry)....we have been really busy travelling in October (updates later)...but can't help to talk about our recent lunch meal at Petrus (the number 1 restaurant in London on Tripadvisor!)
Ms D friend (who loves to eat) was commenting that we should take advantage of the awesome food in London (and the huge amount of Michelin Starred restaurants in London that are still reasonably priced).
Without having much expectations....we were wonderfully satisfied and happy with our £30 pound set meal (guys in Oz are truly missing out here).
ENJOY....yum....makes my tummy hungry again!!

Food the Italian Way
The staple food in Italy is bread, pasta and pizza.......wow pizza and pasta is quite cheap here (simple dishes but tasty!)....you can get a large pizza at a sit down restaurant for like 5 Euro!! Tiramisu was also a popular desert in many italian restaurants. Alls restaurants charge a service charge of around 1-2 Euro per person but you get complimentary bread and sometimes water......much better than the western countries who charge thinking they deserve it!!! (especially in USA)

One of our better restaurants was one hidden in Piazza de' Renzi 31a Trastevere called 'Casetta di Trastevere'...a nicely decorated restaurant with good authentic italian food.....
