We were setting up furniture at our new place at about 9 pm when snow first started to fall.... and like 2 crazy snow-first-timers....me and Ms G went out to catch snow flakes. I saw a few people at the other apartments in the development looking at us funny... hehe
Mr A (our friend who have been helping with moving) then jumped straight into the heavy snow, and start shovelling snow with a cardboard to build a snowman. He started with a few baby snowmen - and then built a big almost life size one. It became sort of like a tourist attraction, attracting with a few random people coming up to take picture with it.

Also had 10 seconds of cheap thrill in a self-man tobogan...when the boys pull me along the road in a big box (which is actually part of our furniture packaging). wwwwwhhhhhheeeeee.............

However, when re-visited the snowman a day later...and it has half-melted into a pool of ice - hehehe. |
Guess we made quite an impression on our new neighbours - the crazy group of asians in flat 3! Our walk home to our old place was really something different - almost midnight, in the freezing cold and snow flakes falling.

The next day, we woke up to a whole white London....about 4 inches of snow??!! Its awesome seeing your footprint in fresh snow every step you take. :) We went to Hyde Park and had a fun fun time having snow ball fights and checking out the other snowmen there....But I guess we are all kinda old now because our body aches the next day from the bending down and running around.
There's a lake in Hyde Park that is half-frozen with the cold (first frozen lake for me)....not frozen enough for us to walk on water, but kinda like a slushy, icy mash...
With all the fun that snow brings, it causes some problems too....Some flights have been grounded/ re-scheduled, trains cancelled etc. Guess I m thankful that snow didn't fall when its supposed to (in December) else our parents' travels and trip could be affected .
Praise God for a snow and a beautiful late winter.
