After the 9 hour ordeal during Wimbledon to just catch some action in tennis, T bought way way in advance, tickets to watch Barclays ATP Championship, where the top 8 players in the world of tennis come together to play each other.
We say Nadal play Fish.... (Yay! I have seen the 2 of the best tennis players play live....the Federer encounter was the best - first row seats at the Australia Open in 2010!! )

Trip to Brighton with Mr A.T
My first week at the new role was really good - interesting work and nice people! I have to alternate between the offices at Croydon and London, but I'm having fun! :)
And now, its the weekend! Its funny how when one start working...weekends are so precious and just have to be fully utilised and appreciated. Mr T has planned a day trip to the nearest beach to London, with one of our cellgroup members, Mr A.T :).

It is our first trip to Brighton, a seaside town about an hour’s train ride away from London. We have heard a lot about the beaches here but didn’t have the chance to visit before this. It’s a quaint town, and while I am at Brighton…I actually considered living here. I’ve heard of people living here and travelling down to London to work. And I must say, I can see why, beaches, quieter life - people here must be less stressed.
The beaches of Brighton are sand-less. They are black pebbles. Reminds me a bit of the lava covered land in Hawaii.
The 3 of us have a good time playing at the arcade at Brighton Pier, and we're trying to win enough little prizes from the game machines to give our dear cellgroup leader a decent birthday present (her birthday drinks are later in the day).
Brighton is famous for its little lanes and shops....the name of this area is very creative - The Lanes. Hahaha... There's a street that is full of vintage / second hand / antique shops - very interesting. I found a few good Christmas presents here. :)
Mr T stumbled onto a street that just screams out his neat-freak nature, and is now his favourite street - Tidy Street. The row of houses on it look neat and in place, and you could peak into the houses to see comfy fireplaces, and beautiful kitchens.
One of the most amazing encounters we had here is a dog skate boarding! The owner said that it is not a trick he taught the dog, but just something that happened …..wow! Check it out on the videos below.

11.11.11 marks the end of 'luxurious tai-tai dom' for Autumn 2011
Today is 11.11.11
Today is also the anniversary of the end of the first world war - hence the minutes of silence observed in the UK for Armistice Day.
Today is also the final day of my month of rest from work, the final day of 'Luxurious tai tai deom. Plans to run some errands and accompany my husband grocery shopping today were however put on hold because its one of those days that comes by every month that well, lets just say I'm just more comfortable staying in bed, under the covers and try to limit my physical movement as much as I can.
It's a wonder how fast a whole month fly by!! I am very thankful and grateful for this month of rest ;), and looking back...I guess I have enjoyed quite a bit and in addition to getting more than enough of my fair share of sleep in a month. I have also done the following:
- have the time to meet up with visitors to London and catchup with other friends in London
- extra time to keep in touch with family and friends back home via Skype / MSN.
- visited the local library several times and read quite a few books - many of which I know I would not have read if I did not have this time off to indulge. One that I particularly enjoy but must admit I would not normally have the luxury of reading such random books is... "How to be a Bed & Breakfast Landlady". Absolutely love it and feel so inspired till my husband pointed out that he doesn't think I'm ever going to be that hardworking to wake up early everyday to cook several people's breakfast and clean several rooms of linen everyday.
- spent hours in Starbucks keeping up to date with news, researching topics of interest and learning more about Gods word in the bible. I've also discovered that there are some things that the bible does not state in black and white....I guess one needs faith and wisdom to discern and make decisions.
- caught up with blogging and uploading pictures of our happenings for the last couple of months
- saw at least 1 musical every week for this month...still amazed at how cheap musicals here are.
- baked a few cakes here and there and helped out with the housework.... hehe. I can now iron very efficiently - 1 shirt in less than a minute :) Must say Mr T was quite surprised at my speed now. kekeke..
- attended a few seminars and expos on matters that I am interested in
- became a tourist in the city I live in, visiting its famous tourist attractions :)
- did a bit of research and enquiries to hopefully secure us our 1st wedding anniversary present for ourselves...we will hopefully know the outcome in about a month's time :)
Well, I guess one can never get enough of tai-taidom, but reality needs to kick in at some point....Bring it on early days and hard work :) (at least till my parents get here for some family holiday time in a month's time....YIPPEE)!!!

London Eye, Boat Party on the Thames and London Aquarium
This weekend was the 2nd since a long time we spent in London. Last weekend was spent holed up at home doing our Australia Tax Returns - hopefully we get to claim some back!
Friday evening started off with all trains on the Jubilee line canceled when we are on our way to a Masquerade Boat Party organised by our church for 25+. What a good time to have a tube canceled on you - when you are rushing to catch a boat. I had this sudden flash of brilliance of "Why don't we catch the Thames Clipper to the pier instead? " which Mr T reluctantly agreed. After 20 minutes of waiting for a ferry to arrive, we finally manage to get onto the clipper, and long story short...managed to arrive at Embankment pier to see Erasmus (our party ship) still docked and people still queueing to get on. It's the first boat party for us as a couple, and I must say that being on the top dock of the boat, in the cold London weather and taking in the sights of London - Big Ben and the London Eye at night is something.
We decided on Sunday to make full use of our Annual Merlin Pass and visit the London Aquarium....and the first of our many trips to the London Eye. The aquarium is I guess just like any other aquarium we've been to except that I got to see shark eggs and ray fish eggs!!! Very interesting...they look like a "dumpling" with the baby fish wrapped inside - 1 dumpling per fish!
London eye ride is quite amazing - probably London's tallest point? But yeah as mentioned, this is the first of many - we intend to make at last 10 trips to the London eye this year, and one for each time of the day... haha dawn, sunset, bright shiny afternoon...
