Rouen and where Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake

Travelling to Rouen was a two hour journey.......we found the trains really comfortable (nicer than the tubes of london or melbourne).

Adele and I stayed in Rouen for a night (and despite having trouble finding the hotel).....we had time to walk the streets of this city/town. There was a plan to go visit several other places but discovered that witout a car it was just too hard.....

A church in Rouen

Streets of Rouen (old part of town)

Joan of Arc Church (where she was crucified)....the church was built to honor her....a beautiful church different from many of the gothic type churches found in Europe.

The cross where Joan was crucified (outside the church which was built for her)

LA Couronne Restaurant
We chose this restaurant as it seemed like it had been visited by a lot fo celebraties (posted ont he walls of the restaurant)......we had a set dinner meal...probably my most expensive meal while travelling.....and it wasn't that great......(mostly good, but not memrable)....
