'See you in Paris', those were the words muttered by my friend when we said goodbye to her in Florence, Italy. Can't believe I'm actually going to Paris – the most famous romantic city in the world. We fly over the Swiss Alps from Italy to France, and from the plane, I could see the huge mountain tops covered with snow.
The first hotel we stayed in Paris is right in the middle of the city on the main road of Vue de Rivoli. The room is on the top floor and we have a balcony that overlooks the main street. It’s a bit small but apparently that's the normal size of the hotels in Paris.
We walked around the area, saw many shops that sells chocolates in elaborate sculptures, and macaroons! This this area is popular for its sweets shops.
There are also several bakery and café around. Many people just buy a foot long bread and eats it as they walk.
