The trip to Belgium is our first Eurostar train trip to another European country. We've had this trip planned for a while, but a couple of my aunts from Malaysia planned a last minute trip to visit us in the UK, so they came along on this trip too :) - the more the merrier. We left London Friday after work, and arrived in Brussels at night. Must say that the train is a lot more convenient then travelling by plane - not as much waiting time, and do not have to travel to the airports that are usually far, far away from the city.
The hotel that we stayed in is really nice , with 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms, right next to the Gare du Midi train station. To get to the 2nd room, you would have to walk through the first room. It must have been one of the best beds we have slept in for months, because we had such a good night's sleep and so much trouble waking up. We stayed there 2 nights, but only spent 1 whole day in Brussels as we did a day trip to Brugge.
