The Top of the Rock is part of Rockefeller Plaza (which is a complex of 19 commercial buildings covering 22 acres between 48th and 51st streets in New York City...spanning the area between Fifth Avenue and Sixth Avenue). It was built by the Rockefeller family and was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1987.....
There are two main buildings from which you can see NY city from the heavens......many say that the best view is from Rockefeller (or more specifically the Top of the ROCK).....as you can see Central park from here....
We were able to go up during the evening......no real long queues as we had the New York PASS (highly recommended).....
